1. Introduction

Welcome to GoCar Albania. By booking a car rental through our website gocaralbania.com, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation. These terms govern the use of our services and your relationship with GoCar Albania.

2. Rental Requirements

  • The minimum driver age is 21 years.
  • The driver must hold a valid driving license for at least one year.
  • An International Driving Permit (IDP) is recommended for non-EU licenses written in non-Latin characters.
  • The renter must present a valid passport or ID card and a driving license at pickup.

3. Payment Policy

  • GoCar Albania offers rentals with No Deposit and No Credit Card requirements.
  • Payment can be made by debit card or cash upon vehicle collection.
  • All prices include VAT, local taxes, and basic insurance unless otherwise stated.
  • Additional services (GPS, child seats, extra drivers, full insurance) can be added during booking or at pickup.

4. Booking and Confirmation

  • After completing your reservation, you will receive an instant confirmation email with the booking details, pickup location, and contact information.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to check all details are correct, including dates, times, and vehicle category.
  • Changes to the booking can be made by contacting our support team at least 24 hours before the start of the rental.

5. Cancellation Policy

  • Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before the rental start time.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance may result in a one-day rental charge.
  • No-shows without prior notice are non-refundable.
  • To cancel, please contact us by email or WhatsApp with your booking reference.

6. Vehicle Collection and Return

  • The renter must present all required documents at the time of pickup.
  • The vehicle must be inspected by both the customer and GoCar representative before departure.
  • Fuel level and car condition will be noted on the rental agreement.
  • The car must be returned at the agreed date, time, and location, with the same fuel level.
  • Late returns may result in additional hourly or daily charges.

7. Insurance Coverage

  • All rentals include Basic Insurance (CDW – Collision Damage Waiver) that limits your financial liability in case of damage.
  • Extended Coverage or Full Protection can be purchased to reduce liability to zero.
  • The insurance does not cover: interior damage, tires, glass, loss of keys, or damage caused by negligence or traffic violations.
  • In case of an accident, you must immediately contact GoCar Albania and the local police to file an official report.

8. Driving Restrictions

  • The vehicle may only be driven within the borders of Albania unless prior written permission is given for border crossing.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited and voids the insurance coverage.
  • Only drivers listed on the rental agreement are allowed to operate the vehicle.
  • Off-road driving or using the car for racing, towing, or illegal activity is not permitted.

9. Fuel Policy

  • The standard policy is Same to Same — the car must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup.
  • Missing fuel will be charged at the local rate plus a refueling service fee.

10. Mileage Policy

All GoCar Albania rentals include unlimited mileage unless otherwise specified. Drive freely across the country without additional distance fees.

11. Additional Drivers

  • Additional drivers must meet the same age and license requirements as the main driver.
  • All additional drivers must be declared and included in the rental agreement.

12. Vehicle Damage or Accident

  • In the event of damage, theft, or accident, contact GoCar Albania immediately.
  • Obtain a police report and any relevant documentation for the insurance claim.
  • Unauthorized repairs are not allowed and will not be reimbursed.

13. Personal Belongings

GoCar Albania is not responsible for personal items left inside the rental vehicle during or after the rental period. Please ensure you remove all belongings before returning the car.

14. Roadside Assistance

24/7 roadside assistance is included with every rental. If your vehicle breaks down, we will send help or provide a replacement car as soon as possible.

15. Fines and Penalties

  • The renter is responsible for all traffic fines, parking violations, and tolls incurred during the rental period.
  • If unpaid fines are reported later, GoCar Albania reserves the right to charge the renter’s payment method for the amount plus an administrative fee.

16. Data Protection

GoCar Albania respects your privacy. We collect and process personal data solely for the purpose of managing bookings, customer communication, and legal obligations. Your data will never be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

17. Amendments to Terms

GoCar Albania reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any updates will be posted on our website. The terms in effect at the time of your booking will apply to your rental agreement.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania. Any disputes shall be resolved under Albanian jurisdiction.
